How did you get started in racing? Cousins Doug and Gary DeWall race a 410 sprint car out of Jackson, MN. My older brother Jeff raced non-wing and winged sprints. I started racing go-karts at age eight then moved into sprint cars at age 14.
How did you come about using the car number? The number 16 came from the DeWall’s and the “V” came from a friend of mine with the name of Val who gave me some money to put the “V” behind my number… and I stuck w/ it ever since.
